Bill Holland is dedicated to helping professionals take control of their careers and thrive in a work environment characterized by turbulence and insecurity. He is founder and principal of R. William Holland Consulting, LLC, which specializes in career management counseling, individual performance coaching, and teaching job candidates how to distinguish themselves from other qualified competitors.He isalso a senior vice president at BeamPines, a leadership development, assessment, and coaching firm.

Holland is the author of CRACKING THE NEW JOB MARKET: The 7 Rules for Getting Hired in Any Economy (AMACOM 2011), as well as Are There Any Good Jobs Left? Career Management in the Age of the Disposable Worker. He frequently speaks on career management, globalization, and related topics. Before launching his career as a consultant, author, and speaker, he served as Executive Vice President for Right Management, Inc., a global human resources and career transition consultancy.At Right, he was responsible for 60offices, three franchise territories, and over $125 million in annual revenue.Before joining Right, he held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Meridian Bank, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Business Process Outsourcing Division of Accenture(formerly Andersen Consulting). He has also held senior HR positions at Chase Manhattan Bank, Charles Schwab, and PepsiCo.

Holland attended Michigan State University on a football scholarship. He eventually earned his Ph.D. from MSU in political science. As a graduate teaching assistant at MSU’s prestigious James Madison College, he received the University’s first Excellence-in-Teaching Award. He later became a member of the teaching and research faculty at the University of California, Riverside.

Holland was a founding member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Professionals, a not-for-profit advocacy group for under-employed and unemployed white-collar workers, established in 2005.He previously served as director of the boardof the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Planning (SHRP).

Bill Holland is a native of Albion, Michigan. He currently makes his home in Williamsburg, Virginia.
