Faisal Hoque is the CEO of Business Technology Management Corporation (BTM), a leading management solutions, software, and services company he founded 11 years ago. For his commitment to business technology convergence, CIO Quarterly magazine designated him, ‘Mr. Convergence’. The editors of Ziff Davis Enterprise named him as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Technology in 2008.

He is the author of six books, including The Power of Convergence: Linking Business Strategies and Technology Decisions to Create Sustainable Success (AMACOM) An earlier book, Sustained Innovation, was ranked by CIO Insight magazine as an “Editor’s Pick: The 10 Best Business Books of 2007.”

Under Faisal’s leadership, BTM has twice been named one of the fastest-growing technology companies in North America in the annual Deloitte Technology Fast 500. Based on revenue growth of 1057% from 1999 to 2003, and 1098% from 2000 to 2004.

A native of Bangladesh, Faisal speaks across the globe, including in China, Japan, Switzerland, UK, Monaco, Canada, and across the United States. He has delivered many keynote speeches, including: Global CIO Executive Summit; European CIO Summit 2009; Japanese CIO Summit 2009; MIT Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership; and The CFO Technology Summit.

He built his first commercial business technology product at the age of 19 while in college. He founded two other award-winning companies prior to the BTM Corporation and is an early pioneer of re-usable software application components. In 1994, General Electric recruited him as one of its youngest technology executives, to launch a comprehensive B2B electronic commerce spin-off.

In 2003, BTM Corporation launched the BTM Institute. The international non-profit is the first organization of its kind to bring together a select group from the academic, corporate, government, and thought leadership communities as a multi-disciplinary research think tank to address the long-standing need to manage business and technology together.
