She also delivers seminars internationally for corporations, universities, high schools, and nonprofit groups. She received her BA, Summa Cum Laude, in Accounting and Communications from Lehigh University and her MBA, with honors, from Columbia Business School. She spent ten years working in finance, beginning as a Certified Public Accountant in Arthur Andersen’s audit practice. She later served as a mergers & acquisitions analyst for Primedia, a financial strategist with Deloitte Consulting, a hedge fund adviser for HypoVereins Bank, and a director of communications at Investor Analytics, an alternative asset risk management firm.

Michelle holds a coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching and is accredited by the International Coaching Federation, and is an active member of the National Speakers Associaton. She has appeared on Fox-TV’s Good Day, NY and quoted in The New York Times, The Star Ledger, Working Mother, Real Simple, and US News & World Report, among others.

Dedicated to helping young people increase their likelihood of success, she has developed Leadership Essentials, a communication and life skills curriculum for high school students; to date, it has reached well over 1,000 teens. She lives in South Orange, New Jersey.
